Good Book !

I Love This Book ! Michael W. Ford is a Talented Author ! I just recently started practicing with my Husband Michael and we Love his Work. I look forward to reading many many more of his books.

It's easy to read, some of the words is a little hard to pronounce but I have a website that can help me pronounce the words a little better so that's not much of a problem for me.

I like how he list all 72 Daemon Spirits that you can work with of your choosing.

He has two different Black Hilt Athame Evocation Rituals to consecrate your athame, he explains the triangle of evocation, the pentagram of tetragrammation, The Wand, the circle, the black mirror, sexual evocations. Invocation of the the Kings Ritual.

It's a wonderful book to have, it's like a Grimoire.

This has to be ONE of my Favorite Goetia Books.
I like most of Fords views and such, but one thing I didnt care for was that he didnt tell you what type of candle or what incense you need for each Demon. He goes with the idea that its more of a unlocking of the brain kind of deal, which I agree to some extent, but I personally go for the traditional ritual with incense and what not.

Its a great book. Its just if you are traditional, you will have to do some research on your own to know what you need for each Demon. I personnaly dont do much of his ritual work. I mainly just like his great Historical knowledge. He is great at that.

Very easy to read

Very easy to read,Informative version of the Goetia. Michael Ford's version is very detailed and descriptive.Anyone interested in goetic magic should be able to pick this up and began working right away.Michael's passion for luciferianism shines through in everything he writes and can help even the most lost soul on their path toward the black flame.I really enjoy the pictures that they used for the "demons" and their sigils. I own several Goetia books ,But this and D.G. are by far my favorites next to the classic.

About the Author

John D. Brewer is Professor of Post Conflict Studies in the Institute for the Study of Conflict Transformation and Social Justice at Queen's University, Belfast. He was previously Sixth-Century Professor of Sociology at Aberdeen University. He has held visiting appointments at Yale University, St John's College, Oxford, Corpus Christi College Cambridge and the Research School of Social Sciences at the Australian National University. He was, until 2012, President of the British Sociological Association and a member of the Governing Council of the Irish Research Council for Humanities and Social Science.

Billows argues that such portrayals fail to consider the universal testimony of our ancient sources that Roman political life was divided in Caesar’s time into two great political tendencies, called "optimates" and "populares" in the sources, of which Caesar came to be the leader of one: the "popularis" faction.

Billows suggests that it is only when we see Caesar as the leader of a great political and social movement, that had been struggling with its rival movement for decades and had been several times violently repressed in the course of that struggle, that we can understand how and why Caesar came to fight and win a civil war, and bring the traditional governing system of Rome to an end.

Bringing Caesar Up to Date

Biographies of C. Julius Caesar are becoming a cottage industry, but this fresh and well-researched volume is a welcome addition to the catalog. Prof. Billows has clearly read and thought carefully about the works that came before him, and may be said to have fairly added to our understanding and appreciation of the man who is arguably the most fascinating human being in history. Scholars will much enjoy his grasp of his subject and some notably fresh insights (where else have we seen so cogent an argument that the Brutus of "et tu, etc." was not Marcus Brutus, but Decimus Brutus Albinus: worth the price just for this) and general readers will greatly profit from the scope and breadth of his learning.

A Fine Biography

With the exception of the chapter on the Gallic Campaign, which was plodding to say the least, this was an enjoyable and instructive read. Having said this it is unclear why this book is so expensive (I read a borrowed copy) compared to Goldsworthy's biography with a similar title. I have only browsed Goldwsworthy's book but it appears to be well written and informative as well. Paying so much extra for Billows' book is not worth it.

Finally! An approach that makes sense for a seemingly insurmountable task.

Ms. Klein has written a very clear and concise blueprint for self-study for the bar exam. After spending several wasted days, (that should've been spent actually studying), trying to come up with an attack plan to prepare for and feel confident about my ability to pass the CBE, I came across this book and it just seemed to all make sense.
This is a very doable method, and it is very comprehensive. I have spoken with a number of people who have spent thousands of dollars for the "big" bar review program, and many of them did not pass the bar despite the money and time they invested.
After purchase of the book and reading it through, I had a couple of questions that I sent to Ms. Klein in email and I am very pleased to report that my email questions were answered quite thoroughly and in a very timely fashion.
I would recommend this to Anyone who wants to pass the bar exam the first time around.

This book is worth much more than it costs

This book is great. The method works. I was much better prepared for the July 2013 California Bar Exam after using The Goat's Guide than I was for the Illinois bar exam in July, 2010 after taking Bar-bri, even though the Illinois exam was much easier (I passed both). In 2013 I was in the same position as the author--a mom caring for a small child while my spouse worked full time--and I used her part time study method, and I started late, and I couldn't quite fit all the recommended exercises in--but I still passed and felt very well prepared during the exam. Everyone preparing for a bar exam, especially California's, should get this book.

Quite possibly the first and best printed resource to improve or implement Taekwondo into your special needs program

I met Mr. Ben Evans on Facebook and then learned about this Guide for Special Needs Taekwon-Do. Ben is certainly passionate about the art and the benefits of Taekwon-do for special needs students. Of that, there is little doubt. This guide, which is now in its second edition, surpassed my expectations. This is not a how-to book. It is, as titled, a guide to help Taekwon-do instructors either 1) better meet the needs of their students, but more importantly 2) how to develop a Taekwon-do special needs program for schools and organizations. The book has at least 1 photo on most pages, but the photos are not overly large nor consume space needlessly. The last 1/3 of the book or so instructs students, with photographs of a special needs student, how to perform several of the ITF Taekwon-do patterns.

Although this book is written by an ITF stylist, the principles found within these pages apply to any Taekwondo program, including WTF and independent programs. Taekwondo is only the vehicle to help special needs students grow and reach their full potential through an instructor who, at his or her core, cares about the development of the students. If you work with special needs students, that is probably one of the first requirements to begin with. Throughout this book, Ben Evans clearly demonstrates by word and deed that he believes every special needs student will benefit from learning and practicing Taekwon-do in ways that most do not realize.

If you operate a special needs program and are looking for a physical activity for the students, Taekwondo is an ideal activity to not only give them exercise but provide them with many other benefits. This guide is quite possibly the first published reference to help you research and implement just such a program for the special needs students in your care. This guide may also likely be the best resource as well to start you on this journey.

I believe the first 2 reviewers were commenting on the 1st edition of the book, criticisms which may have been accurate. This 2nd edition, however, addresses some of the weaknesses of the 1st edition. Every page has interesting and helpful information.

I would have like to seen more how one addresses the differing problems ...

I am a retired special ed teacher. I bought this book for my son as he teaches Taekwon-Do. It sat around my house for a while so I picked it and read it. I have to agree with the previous review that there are too many single photo pages and it adds to the cost. The real complaint I have is that there are different physical needs for special ed students. I would have like to seen more how one addresses the differing problems of these kids. How do you develop the necessary balance for martial arts? A good start and hopefully the author will address the concerns. Someone else needs to write some special needs books for martial arts. Get to it...

This is an important book but it has flaws. There is useful information that the author has learned while teaching Taekwon-Do to special needs kids. This is the useful part. The bad part is that it seems like a term paper turned in where the writer is trying to make a page count. The largest section of the book is one photo a page of one of his students doing Won-hyo. These could have been combined to four photos a page to keep the page count down. The books is unusually expensive thought I have been told that all profits go to the kids.
