The New Gold Standard for WMI Scripting

Richard Siddaway's new book titled PowerShell and WMI currently sits right next to my keyboard and is used several times daily.
This book is the new Gold Standard for seasoned administrators. The book is a concise reference with ready to use examples
which will help systems administrators, desktop engineers and service desk support become more effective and efficient
in their every day responsibilities.
The best part of this book is that it presents ready to use solutions for tasks that most administrators face in their everyday tasks.
Some examples include:
Listing, creating or modifying file shares
Managing network adapter configuration on remote computers
Managing web servers
Performing inventories of server and workstation configurations
Checking local users and groups on remote systems
Inventorying and managing share printers
Reading and managing registry keys on multiple systems
This book will pay for itself within days of purchase. The day I opened the book, we were able to re-engineer some existing
scripts to generate a complete and comprehensive inventory of our print environment. Two days later we identified and corrected
every inconsistent TCP/IP configuration on each server in the environment. I have had this book for just over a month; my team

One of best for WMI scripting

WMI and Powershell combined provide you with a powerful tool to collect information from a remote and local computers as well as fixing problems. On top of this, Richard Siddaway make easier for you to understand how. Not just covering many topics and explaining them in detail but also his programing techniques give you a knowledge to apply beyond WMI. You will learn how to use WIN32 classes and COM objects easily. This a book to apply you must have.
